DISCLAIMER:
Knowing Jesus is not a magical “experience”. It is not a “feeling” or “euphoria”. Coming to know him may be accompanied by such things, but are not to be the objective. Knowing Jesus is not for the faint of heart. He will not make your life easier. It will not be prettier. Knowing Jesus means to know the God of the universe and His love for you. It is a personal and intimate relationship with the lover of your soul. Jesus does not seek those who have it all together; who have life figured out. He seeks the broken, the oppressed, the hurting, the meek, the downtrodden, the sick, the weary, and all who would realize themselves as such. He seeks those who can approach him in humility asking for forgiveness and mercy. He calls those who know him to take up their cross daily and bear the burdens of a dark and dying world. He calls his followers to love God above all others and to consider their lives as already lost.
We are not called Christians because we pray a prayer, or go to church, but because we resemble Christ. We bear the signs of his suffering in our bodies. Those who would live like Christ must love as he did; at all costs, to all people, against all odds, indiscriminately, especially when they don’t deserve it. We are to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. We are to serve others and consider them greater than ourselves, and we are to give all we have in reliance on the Holy Spirit.
If this is the Christ you seek to know, then welcome my brother or sister. If not, I pray you will change your mind before it is too late. The end will come like a thief in the night. May the Holy Spirit be at work convicting you and calling you to My Lord.

Hi Andrew
On a completely unrelated subject, I would like to talk to you confidentially about something that’s on my heart. It’s nothing to do with anything we have been discussing so far. Would it be possible to exchange emails? Mine is

Sorry to sound so mysterious, but it is confidential matter…
