Psalm 122:6 says: Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they be secure who love you!”
In light of this verse, should Christians pray for the nation of Israel? There are many Christian Zionist sites, a long history of anti-Semitism within the Church, and a whole host of voices in between, but what is the correct answer?
The question is obviously politically loaded, whether you’re a believer in the West, Africa, the Middle East, or at any other point on the globe. There is no avoiding pitfalls on every side as we answer this quesiton. So what is the right answer? I want to pose the question to see if I can get some answers from others, before I attempt to address it myself. Don’t be afraid you will say the wrong answer.
